At Before & After school care we provide direction, trust, friendship, team work, and kind and understanding hearts. We look forward to each morning and afternoon with your children, with their funny stories, their fun and witty personalities, and their happy demeanor.
One of the most important things for us in child care is building trust, keeping the children safe and happy, and building a strong relationship with Christ. I love how we end each morning and begin our afternoons with devotion and prayer.
During the school day, while the older children are in school, preschools will receive structured care from members of our Preschool team (in Ark 3 or 4) when they are not in their Preschool classroom (Ark 1 or 2).
We look forward to welcoming and serving your family, and building those strong Christ centered relationships with you and your child. Should you every need anything or have any questions, please send me an email. I am happy to help in anyway I can.

As children arrive in the morning they can choose from the centers cart, balls, games, coloring, and much more. At 7:30 am all children clean up and play a group game. At 8:00 am, children have devotion and morning prayer. Following prayer and devotion, they visit with friends until dismissal to classrooms at 8:15 AM.
After school, children gather for small group devotions including discussion and an activity led by a member of the child care staff. After devotions, snack is served each day with juice and water. There is a snack fee of $10.00/month for families who use child care 7 or more times in a month. After snack, the children either go outside on the playground, or stay inside to play a group game depending on the weather. Then centers to follow, including Homework Club.

We Are You – The Buller family

We are YOU … We are the Buller family

We were new to Messiah Lutheran School two years ago when Xavier was in 3rd grade. We recently asked Xavier how Messiah was different from his past school? He simply said,

“The teachers love me.”

We Are You – The Baksys family

From time to time, we ask Messiah families to share a story of how their family has been impacted by Messiah Lutheran School. This Fall, the Baksys family shared their journey from Messiah, to their local public school, and back again.

We are YOU…We are the Baksys family.

We are the parents of a sweet, funny, kind seven year old boy. Whether you are the parent of one or many, we are like you…we just want to raise our child to be kind and responsible. We live in a small town outside of Lincoln and have very little family support in the area. When Josh attended preschool at Messiah Lutheran School two years ago we were welcomed into a family that we didn’t realize we needed at the time.
We made the choice to attend a public school for kindergarten and truly missed the environment at Messiah Lutheran School and have chosen to come back. Josh thrives here where the teachers, staff and fellow students love him for who he is and provide the individualized care and attention that has allowed him to grow in his love for school, and more importantly, his love for Jesus. You cannot put a value on the intangible things that a student learns here: kindness and love, generosity and compassion. These qualities are found in all the teachers and staff to support not only the students but their families, too.

Quite often, we find that Josh will come home and end up teaching us just as many life and spiritual lessons as he is learning himself in school. In this life we all face challenges, loss, disappointment, and hardships but the love and support we receive from being part of the Messiah Lutheran School family brings with it peace and confidence to know we are not alone in this journey.

Family Puzzle

A new school year is about to begin. New faces and classrooms… reconnecting with old friend and making new ones.  The following story was shared by Mrs. Shannon Meyer, one of our First Grade teachers at Messiah Lutheran School, at the end of last school year. During the nervous anticipation of a new year, it is good to look ahead at what is to come.
